Shaping thought and behaviour
In 2015, Ikea CEO Torbjörn Lööf told Carla Cammilla Hjort that he wanted to design a better future (Ikea’s vision is, after all, “To create a better everyday life for the many people”). The conversation motivated Carla to create Space10, a Copenhagen think tank and living lab dedicated to researching the macro changes –urbanisation, democratic shifts, political and economic shifts, lack of natural resources and technological breakthroughs – that are expected to affect people in the coming decades.
Carla will talk about the anthropological intersections of technology, culture, business and society, and how understanding of identity, empathy, contemporary spirituality and values can shape thought and behaviour and inform a more sustainable, people-centred approach to product and service creation.
