Bringing technology closer by remembering the human factor
Ivy Ross is a rare thing – a recognised fine artist with jewellery held in the permanent collections of several international museums (including the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.) and an equally successful design executive.
Since 2016, Ivy has been Vice President of Hardware Design at Google, where her role (as she describes it) is “to figure out what it feels like to hold Google in your hand”. This means investigating the ways that technology can be “closer to us” – bold and optimistic expressions of design that are more human in form, colour and shape.
